In April 2026, players once again remembered the arcade flight simulator Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation. The author of the YouTube channel "IgorL - Emulation Guides" announced the release of an unofficial PC version of the game.

The XenonRecomp tool was used to port the game – it recompiles games for Xbox 360 consoles into native .exe files for Windows.

Modders continue to refine this version of Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation to improve stability. However, it can already be fully completed on PC. sal063 has published the "AC6_recomp" project in open access on GitHub.

The trailer is available at the following link.
