As stated in the press release, the deal amounted to approximately €4 million. It includes full ownership of the brand, retention of all profits throughout the project's lifecycle, and waiver of any future royalties.
The company explained the reasons for the deal:
Acquiring the brand will strengthen the group's ability to make timely decisions regarding further development and related investments.
Digital Bros. also stated that the acquisition will not have a "significant impact" on the company's financial performance in the coming year.
The deal comes amid reports about the development team. Most of the employees who worked on the game were laid off after refusing to transition to support tasks. This could be one of the reasons why the rights were acquired at a relatively low price.
