
Helldivers 2 Developers Unveil Major Update with New Biomes, Enemy, and Gear
Now Helldivers can laugh on the battlefield again.
In late April, the creators of the co-op shooter Helldivers 2 introduced a major update, “Patriotic Arms: 6.2.2”.
Among the new features and improvements:
- Two new biomes
- New enemy variation
- Significant Exosuit balance change
- Enemy balance changes
- Secondary weapon and Stratagem balance changes
- Various bug fixes.
The developers stated that Strikers and Shriekers now appear during operations with a corresponding effect. They also noted that players can once again laugh on the battlefield — the sound of the “Jubilant Emote” has been fixed.
Some other changes:
- City Defense events are once again displayed as Super Earth controlled.
- Exosuit primary health increased from 850 to 1600.
- Increased resolution of sparks and smoke from bug breach points.
- “Sickle” no longer emits a high-frequency hum when firing.
- Players will no longer be directed to the “Python Commandos” merit instead of “Regiment [redacted]” and vice versa when selecting the acquisition screen in the ship management menu.
- Destroying an Airbase Control Tower with a Hellbomb no longer blocks mission progress.
