Recently, Denfaminicogamer published a new interview with the creators of Resident Evil Requiem. Game director Koushi Nakanishi and producer Masato Kumazawa answered a number of questions about the game and future plans.

The journalist admitted that he was expecting Ada Wong to appear in the game, but it never happened. According to Nakanishi, there was simply no place for the character in the story:

During development, of course, the possibility of adding a variety of characters was considered. But to be frank, within the story of Leon and Grace in this game, strangely enough, there simply weren't suitable moments for their appearance — there were no scenes where their appearance would have been truly justified.

Kumazawa added that Leon and Grace's story turned out to be self-contained.

The developers also shared some details about the May DLC for Resident Evil Requiem. They clarified that access to the "mini-game" will open after completing the main campaign and it will be single-player:

It's a "mini-game" based on the combat system from the main game. I think those who felt "I still need more action!" after finishing the story will exclaim "wow!!" and have a great time — sharpen your tomahawks and get ready.

The story DLC is currently "in development." The developers did not disclose any details.
