According to recent reports, the developers of GTA VI are tired of the journalist's "attention." Although players are eager for any information, the studio considers leaks harmful – they disrupt pre-planned marketing strategies.
The conflict between Rockstar Games and Schreier has been ongoing for several years. In 2024, he revealed the release date of the GTA VI trailer before the studio's official announcement.
According to insider Tex2, Sam Houser was so enraged that he even considered postponing the announcement to refute Schreier's words. Ultimately, the team dissuaded him from this step, but the resentment remained – developers believe that their "moment," which they had worked on for years, was effectively "stolen."
Last weekend, a Rockstar Games employee sharply responded to the mention of the journalist:
No. We don't want him spying on our company and project.
The studio believes that such leaks are not only spoilers for players but also a direct blow to planning and team morale.
