In six days, the campaign for the new edition of the board game Claustrophobia 1692 on the crowdfunding platform Gamefound is set to conclude. Publisher Devir has already raised 136,569 euros (11,971,542 rubles), so there's no need to worry about the project's future.

Today, GaGa Games announced its intention to release this board game in Russia.

Claustrophobia 1692 is a harsh, asymmetrical, and atmospheric duel. It can be described as a two-player dungeon crawler set in an alternate 17th century. Something has awakened in the catacombs beneath New Jerusalem. Hordes of troglodyte monsters are breaking through to the surface, and the townspeople have only one option: assemble a squad of criminals condemned to death, put a clergyman in charge, and send them down.

One player controls this doomed squad: each character has their own stat board, and each turn you must decide who attacks, who moves, and who defends — distributing dice rolls among the fighters.

The second player plays as the demon. They have their own board with abilities that are activated by dice rolls, strengthening and advancing hordes of monsters through the catacombs.

The dungeon is modular and opens gradually, and each scenario sets different goals: in some, people simply need to survive and find a way out, in others — to reach the lair and destroy the root of evil.

The pre-order from GaGa Games will include the base game and the De Profundis expansion. The team has already started working on the files, so you won't have to wait long for the campaign to start.

By the way, the new edition is being released by Devir in collaboration with the author of the original game, Christophe Réaux, better known by the pseudonym CROC. Players can expect new miniatures, updated artwork, refined rules, and even new scenarios.
