Recently, a major update, Riven Tides, was released for ARC Raiders, adding a lot of new content to the game, including items, a huge robot called "Turbine," a new map, and an in-game event. However, not all players are happy and believe that Embark Studios is still not supporting the game well enough.

J35, who has spent over 1100 hours in the game (it was released in late October 2025), highlighted a number of key issues:

I've played this game for 1100 hours. I want to love Arc Raiders. I really do. The core gameplay loop, the atmosphere – it's all great. But in its current state, I cannot recommend this game to anyone. A complete lack of fair competition.

According to J35, ARC Raiders is currently a "cheater's paradise":

Now it doesn't even feel like 'a risk of encountering a cheater' – it's a statistical inevitability. Whether it's blatant aimbots or people tracking you through walls – there's simply no properly working anti-cheat in the game.

He also considers the skill tree a "scam" – according to him, it has been bugged since release and many things simply don't work.

In addition, J35 pointed out problematic netcode and a lack of fixes for old bugs. Many other members of the ARC Raiders community agree with him – lately, the game crashes very often not only on PC but also on consoles.

Community members criticize the balance – some find the ARC robots very powerful, and there have been complaints about the loot on the new map, "Riven Tides."

All of this has affected ARC Raiders' rating on Steam: recently, reviews have been "mixed" (the overall rating is still holding in the "very positive" segment).
