Support for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War Definitive Edition continues with active community involvement.

In April, a large update 2.8.0 was released for the remastered version of the strategy game Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War Definitive Edition. The developers position it as the first patch created with community involvement and aimed at multiplayer balance:

This work was only possible thanks to your continued support, feedback, and love for the game. We want to thank the community members who developed, tested, and verified these changes to present them to all of you today. Balancing any RTS, especially with nine factions, is a complex and time-consuming task. Therefore, today's update will not solve or address absolutely all problematic aspects of multiplayer.

The 2.8.0 update is intended to be the first in a series of planned balance patches for multiplayer this year. The developers will continue to make adjustments based on player feedback, which will allow for further refinement of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War Definitive Edition multiplayer.

The developers are intensifying the fight against cheaters: from now on, they will apply a system of escalating blocks and bans for players using mods or other software that allows disabling “fog of war” and/or atmospheric fog in automatic matchmaking modes. This does not apply to custom games and single-player / skirmish mode.
