"I hope I kill every player at least five times": Former UFC champion participated in the creation of The Blood of Dawnwalker
The world of The Blood of Dawnwalker will feature a vampire whose movements were brought to life by an experienced fighter.
Recently, the creators of The Blood of Dawnwalker held a major presentation, during which they showcased gameplay and revealed some production details. As it turned out, professional MMA (mixed martial arts) fighter and former UFC champion Jan Błachowicz participated in the project.
Błachowicz recorded movements for a vampire boss named Bakir. The fighter himself is a gamer and loves video games:
Why did I decide to be a part of this project? Because I'm a gamer, I love games. This is a new adventure for me – a new experience. So my dream came true, and the decision [to participate in the project] was quite obvious for me. When I heard about this game, I was captivated by the story: what will happen, what will happen to the hero, what the gameplay will be like. Working with [stunt coordinator Maciej Kwiatkowski]… you know, he's one of the best in the world. He tells me what to do and how to do it… It's a great pleasure – I'm ready to work with such people every day.
Bakir's fighting style is similar to that used by Błachowicz — he describes it as “very simple, but extremely effective in combat.” The character resonated with the fighter:
When I saw him, I thought: big, large… but not as handsome as me. That was my first reaction. But I said: “Okay, I can play him, don't worry.” […] People will love and fear him. And I hope I kill every player at least five times.
