Forza Horizon 6 is coming out in a few weeks, but Playground Games is not limited to the launch. During a Q&A session on Discord, the developers revealed details about events, progression, and post-release content.

One of the new features will be Touge Battles – 1-on-1 duels inspired by Japanese car culture. They will appear in five mountain locations and will be available in single-player mode outside the main festival progression. For competitive players, a rotational multiplayer playlist will be added with the ability to compete against real players.

Familiar online activities will also return, but under a new name. Forzathon Live will be replaced by Stunt Party events with a similar formula – collaborative completion of spectacular challenges. In Eliminator mode, the starting car will be a 1984 Honda City.

Playground Games also talked about unlockable content. Horizon Japan will feature a special island called Legend Island, access to which will only be unlocked after reaching the maximum festival rank. It will have its own events and a Goliath race.

There's also good news for the Festival Playlist – the progression system. Missed rewards will later be added to other activities or ways to obtain them. This change will prevent the loss of unique content due to lack of time.
