inZOI received an engine update, new business, and gameplay mechanics

The creators of the life simulator inZOI have released a major update 0.8.0. It includes technical improvements and new game content.

The game engine has been updated to Unreal Engine 5.6. The modding toolset received a corresponding update to support it.

A new category for adjusting optimization parameters has been added to the game settings.

• Simulation Template: Contains various simulation settings to improve performance.
• Performance Protection: When this option is activated, optimization settings will be automatically adjusted if a performance overload is detected.
• Graphics Template: For easier navigation, these were similarly reflected in the graphics category.

Some other improvements and novelties:

• In-game Canvas browser pop-ups now open in an external browser for better optimization.
• Now, for Zoi, you can create “Situational Looks” — situational looks include not only clothes, but also hairstyles, makeup, and skin settings. For various situations, players can set up to 5 looks and 1 signature look as a Set.
• A new business type “Beauty Salon” has been added.
• New careers have appeared in Cities: Travel Agent, Research Expert, IT Developer, Architect, Music Producer, Journalist.
• Now, after reaching level 5 in the crime skill, the player can obtain a Criminal Mask at a suspicious career agency.

New Freelancer careers have appeared:

• Delivery,
• Creative — creating texts, music, programs, media on client request
• Publishing — you can publish works and receive commission depending on the results
• Online Market — selling Zoi's creations via computer.
