In early May 2026, the developers of Skyrim RP announced the start of open Pre-Alpha testing. It will run all weekend.
The modders clarified that this is not a release, but a “slice” of development — they are interested in players' opinions on the mechanics and content:
May, barbecues, SKYRIM RP opens its doors. We are opening the server for three days so you can see for yourself what is already working and what is still being finished. This is not a release. This is an honest slice of development. With some mechanics, new locations, horses, combat, and mobs — with flaws that we are fixing right now. Your opinion is important to us, look for bugs and don't be afraid to tell the truth.
The developers said that in the current version of Skyrim RP, players can expect the following content:
- Horses — you can ride alone or with a friend
- Full-fledged Jarls — there will be “live rulers in cities”
- New combat system — available: dodges, special moves, strikes in different directions and “no one-button clicks”
- Mines — you can dig, mine ore, forge armor and weapons
- All cities have been redesigned
