In her post on X, Asha Sharma stated:
Today we are releasing our new logo as dynamic backgrounds, profile backgrounds, and player images!
Now users can customize their desktop and profile with updated visual styling.
This is further confirmation of a change in direction after Sharma took over from Phil Spencer. The head of Xbox has repeatedly said that the priority is to listen to the community and quickly respond to player requests.
The addition of dynamic backgrounds with the new logo was a direct response to fan requests, who asked for such a feature during the first presentation.
New personalization elements are part of a broader brand update. The logo, in the form of a glass sphere with a green glow, refers to the early stages of Xbox and nostalgia for the classic times of the console.
