Sad Cat Studios collected feedback from Replaced players and in early May introduced the "Community Feedback Update" with highly requested features.
- The dialogue skip option will now be enabled by default.
- Players now have the option to disable "letterboxing" (image mode with black bars).
The developers noted that they experimented with ultrawide format support, but encountered problems:
[…] however, changing the framing caused many visual problems. Our scenes are arranged like film sets: there is often simply nothing outside the frame. The 16:9 format also created difficulties — enemies and terminals were off-screen, which worsened the gameplay. Sorry.
Replaced now has a level selection feature, as well as a collectible tracker broken down by type — it will be easy to track the number of items collected. Players can now return to previous chapters to collect remaining items or to replay if there were issues with saving.
The Replaced developers thanked the community for their feedback and noted that it is important to the team.
