Recently, the creators of the walking simulator The Invincible from Starward Industries studio reminded about their new project Into the Fire. This month, they plan to conduct a public playtest on PC via Steam.
As part of this playtest, the developers of the extraction-survival game Into the Fire will focus on the core gameplay: players will enter dangerous zones, "retrieve everything and everyone they can," and try to keep their team alive.
In this version of Into the Fire, players will be invited to explore the Volcanic District, shaped by ash, fire, and catastrophe:
New Sindra will be the main game map in this playtest — a place where every expedition involves risk, pressure, and the main question of Into the Fire: go deeper or take what has already been extracted?
Between expeditions, players will return to a hub location — a temporary operational base where they can use the extracted resources.
You can add Into the Fire to your Steam wishlist and sign up for the May playtest via the following link. This round of testing is expected to start on May 20, 2026 — invitations should be sent automatically (to those who applied).
