Far Far West Shows Strong Start - New Hit from Core Keeper Developers
Today, creating games is difficult: even good ideas often fail to break into the market. However, the developers from Evil Raptor took a risk - and hit the bullseye.
The studio, known for Pumpkin Jack (a spiritual successor to MediEvil) and Akimbot (a Ratchet & Clank clone), unexpectedly achieved much greater success with its new game Far Far West. The project was released a few days ago and has already surpassed the studio's previous releases in all metrics.
According to SteamDB, the horde shooter styled as a space Wild West reached a peak of 43,832 players. In comparison, Pumpkin Jack and Akimbot did not even cross the thousand-user mark.
Gamalytic analytics estimate sales of almost 520 thousand copies in 4 days of early access. Pumpkin Jack accumulated about 266 thousand buyers on Steam in almost 6 years.
The publisher Fireshine Games, known for Core Keeper, played an important role. Far Far West has already become the second-largest game in the company's history.
Peak metrics:
- Far Far West — 43,832 players
- Core Keeper — 46,465 players
