Diablo IV set a new record on Steam after the start of Season 13 and the release of the expansion

At the end of April, Diablo IV introduced Season 13, titled "Season of Reckoning," and the story expansion Lord of Hatred was released. Players gradually began returning to the ARPG, and newcomers also took notice of the game.

This weekend, Diablo IV's peak online concurrent players set a new record, surpassing 59,000 players. The previous peak of 55,000 users was recorded in 2024 when the previous expansion, Vessel of Hatred, was released.

In terms of online concurrent players this weekend, Diablo IV surpassed the free-to-play Path of Exile (15,666 players) and the currently premium Path of Exile 2, which had a peak of 9,904 users.

The DLC for Diablo IV introduced story content, a new area called "ancient Skovos," and a couple of classes – players can play as a Paladin and a Warlock.

After the season started and the Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred expansion was released, players began reporting issues and various bugs. In recent days, Blizzard Entertainment has released a series of small hotfixes that have addressed some of them.
