Vampire Crawlers Creators Hit the Mark - A Million Copies in a Week
Franchises like Vampire Survivors can afford to experiment today. Once the original has established itself in players' minds, any new project automatically attracts attention, even if it doesn't copy the previous formula.
Therefore, it's especially interesting when a spin-off stops being just an addition to the brand and quickly starts living its own life.
This is exactly how Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard started. Studio Poncle announced that the game, released a few days ago, has already surpassed the one million copies sold mark. This is a result achieved in just one week after release – a figure that is hard to ignore. This is not a new main installment in the series, but a side project with a different mood and format.
Interestingly, the game did not become a direct copy of Vampire Survivors. It combines deck-building, roguelite, and dungeon exploration. The developers added the collection of unusual combinations, deck development, and a pace that can be adjusted to suit oneself, from calm planning to almost instantaneous moves. It seems Poncle has hit the mark once again.
