Recently, the developers of the 4X strategy game Sins of a Solar Empire II introduced the "UI Horizons" update. It includes technical improvements and more.

For example, performance enhancements have been made, and the engine has been refined. According to the developers, when playing on new saves, the "game compresses," reducing save file sizes by 70% or more. They also improved weapon targeting accuracy, refined unit construction processing, optimized the physics system, CPU load, and various calculations.

Previously, some players complained about "AI portraits" of characters (they were created using artificial intelligence and then refined by humans). The developers took the feedback into account, and now artists have completely redrawn the images.

The description of the "UI Horizons" update for Sins of a Solar Empire II is available at the following link, and an overview of the changes here.

Sins of a Solar Empire II is positioned as "the continuation of the critically acclaimed space strategy that perfectly combines real-time tactics with 4X depth":

There are no turns. No combat mode. No strategic mode. There is only one mode, and it is entirely real-time. Instantly zoom in to manage tactical engagements where every missile, turret, and ship is fully simulated and an important part of the battle. Instantly zoom out to manage your empire where every asteroid, moon, and planet orbits its center in a slowly evolving strategic landscape.
