Recently, a developer known as "Pyatdesyat Chetvertyy" drew attention to another tech enthusiast's project. Shinovon is working on porting Grand Theft Auto III to the Symbian^3 operating system.
His project is based on "re3" — a decompiled version of the original Rockstar Games. Shinovon has achieved some success: he managed to run the ported GTA III on devices such as Nokia E7, Nokia N8, Nokia E6, and Nokia 700.

Currently, shinovon is working on optimizing the Grand Theft Auto III port. In the future, he plans to add PlayStation 2 gamepad emulation. In addition, the developer is working on improving GPU drivers to enhance stability.
Shinovon has published his project publicly on GitLab (repository "re3-symbian").
Previously, a large-scale modification was released for Grand Theft Auto III, expanding the game's world map, and another unofficial port appeared — for PSP.
