Modders continue to gradually refine the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV. A 5.0.0 update for the FusionFix modification was recently released, which includes many graphical fixes and more.

The "Ambient Occlusion" option has been fully implemented in GTA IV: it improves lighting, "simulates light blocking by objects," such as walls. This adds depth to scenes.

In the original game, the screen darkens every time the player tries to examine an item. The same happens in the wardrobe when trying on clothes. This modification allows skipping the "darkening" part and instantly changes items.

FusionFix 5.0.0 continued to fix motorcycle physics, which glitches at high FPS, and now it works better than in previous versions of the modification. A similar fix was also implemented for cars.

Also fixed an issue where the helicopter light blinking frequency accelerated with the frame rate.

Modders fixed the police computer script. Previously, if a suspect was near the player, a "File being updated" screen would appear (you cannot start a mission if the target is very close), and at this point, a softlock occurred in the PC version. When using keyboard and mouse controls, it was impossible to turn off this screen, but the modification adds this capability.
