In Resident Evil Requiem, developers introduced people infected with a mutated T-virus strain. They differ from typical “zombies” as they retain some memories and certain behavioral traits.

As a result, players will encounter colorful infected characters during the game. For many community members, the “singing zombie” – Selena Corey, a patient at the Rhodes Hill Medical Center – became a favorite. The girl retained her habit of walking around the lounge bar and singing.

In a recent interview, voice actress Isabella Inchbald spoke about working on her character. She did not participate in motion capture for Selena, and Capcom did not share character details with her during line recording, instead suggesting the actress improvise.

Inchbald ultimately tried to convey a mix of childlike naivety and alluring danger:

"I think that [when I was recording the lines], I was trying to imagine a half-child, half-siren image. She's an attractive zombie who is actually a little girl craving attention. Fortunately, this somewhat aligns with her backstory" (according to the lore, the character has histrionic personality disorder).
