Funcom studio presented a major update for the survival game Conan Exiles Enhanced — the game has been ported to the modern Unreal Engine 5. The developers published an address in the Steam community, which is also available in Russian:
Greetings, exiles! Conan Exiles Enhanced is officially available on Steam. This is the most significant visual and technical update to the popular survival game in eight years since its release. Funcom, in partnership with Inflexion Games, released this update as a free addition for all current and future owners of the game on Steam. The release of the Enhanced version is timed to coincide with the game's anniversary on May 8 and is a gift for millions of Conan Exiles players worldwide.
The developers noted that players can expect "significantly improved environments, character models, lighting, and effects." They also stated that they aimed to ensure 60+ FPS "at any graphics settings on most PCs" through optimization. They also improved performance on Steam Deck.
In Conan Exiles Enhanced, two maps have become one world — it will be possible to travel between the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah (which is still sold separately as DLC). These regions are integrated and interconnected, so players no longer need to choose a map when creating a character or start a new game to explore all locations. Multiplayer servers will also be able to host both regions simultaneously.
In honor of the update's release, the creators of Conan Exiles Enhanced published an infographic and revealed some metrics — over the past 8 years, the project has attracted more than 15 million players, with 69 square kilometers of territory available for exploration, 13 diverse biomes, and dozens of dungeons.
