Employees of the "Bombora" publishing house announced that work on the book "Star Wars. History of the Gaming Universe" has entered a new stage – author Ilya Glazkov submitted the manuscript, and the team has already begun proofreading the text. Blogger and journalist Alexander Ammosov acted as the scientific editor of the project.
For several decades, the "galaxy far, far away" has delighted fans with unforgettable characters and vivid battles. However, this franchise goes far beyond films and TV series.
In parallel with the film saga, the gaming universe grew and transformed: from eight-bit Atari consoles to modern VR headsets, from primitive arcades to boundless open worlds, from Kyle Katarn to Cal Kestis – virtual "Star Wars" constantly changed along with the industry, mastering new genres and technologies.
This book will be a guide to the long history of Star Wars games. Readers will discover the behind-the-scenes of LucasArts studio, meet the creators of the acclaimed Battlefront and Knights of the Old Republic series, as well as the secrets of canceled projects, including the promising action game Star Wars 1313.
Unfortunately, it is not yet known when "Bombora" will open pre-orders for the book or reveal its cover.
