The creators of the truck driver simulator Euro Truck Simulator 2 announced the release of update 1.59. Previously, players could access it via "beta versions" on Steam.
The developers presented an update for the Benelux countries: asset and map designers completely redesigned the map of Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg from scratch. Players will be able to explore updated cities and their surroundings – each localization has been reworked to "emphasize its unique character, with many landmarks and details."
Euro Truck Simulator 2 has a collaboration with Thermo King – licensed refrigerators have been introduced into the game. They replace all unbranded units that were in the base game and its add-ons.
New towing has appeared – now when calling a tow truck, there is a choice: send the car to a service center or simply return it to the road.
The Volvo Trucks Experience Center has appeared in Euro Truck Simulator 2. This Volvo center is located in Gothenburg (Sweden). The location is secret – developers suggest players find it in the game themselves.
