Chernobylite 2 was released too early. Developers admit mistakes
More than a year has passed since Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone was released in early access, but discussions around the game continue.
The Farm 51 studio has honestly summarized the difficult development process. Amid reports of financial difficulties and the risk of closure, the developers openly admit their mistakes.
The creators confirmed what the community had been saying for a long time — the sequel to their main hit was released too early. The project lacked time for polish and stable development. This led to optimization problems, numerous bugs, as well as shortcomings in voice acting and translations. The early release seriously damaged player trust.
The studio's management explains the situation with poor business decisions and organizational problems. At the same time, the team emphasizes that they are not going to look for excuses.
To rectify the situation, The Farm 51 has begun a large-scale internal restructuring, which should stabilize the company's operations.
The developers are also actively studying player feedback from early access. In the coming months, the game will receive a series of major updates aimed at improving AI, stability, gameplay pace, and narrative. Whether the studio will be able to save the project remains unknown.
