Metroidvania Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Rageborn will surprise with its shapeshifting mechanic

The developers are creating a dark Metroidvania with an isometric camera. The player will focus on non-linear world exploration and ecological horror, where nature clashes with ruthless industry and the Pentex corporation.

The main feature will be the shapeshifting system. Players will be able to instantly switch between three states: human, fast wolf, and destructive werewolf. Each form offers its own style of movement, combat, and problem-solving.

This will force players to adapt tactics to the situation on screen and choose the appropriate form for survival and combat.

The release is scheduled for 2027. The project looks like a dark adventure with an emphasis on survival and transformations.
