Microsoft is creating the Xbox Project Helix platform, which is intended to unite Xbox consoles and PCs. It seems the company has already shown the updated interface of the future device.

During the GDC presentation, Xbox Vice President Jason Ronald spoke about creating a "unified" experience for consoles, portable devices, PCs, and cloud gaming. According to him, users feel too much difference between devices, so Microsoft wants to create a recognizable interface for the entire ecosystem.

In the shown material, an updated Xbox menu was noticed. The interface received a user profile in the upper right corner, a reduced amount of advertising, and a design reminiscent of Xbox Cloud Gaming.

On PC, an application with an interface similar to the Xbox console screen was also shown: with rounded elements, a new library, and simplified navigation.

Ronald noted that the menu will not necessarily be the same on all devices. The interface will be able to adapt to screen size and control method.

The video also showed an updated Xbox store for Windows. All this indicates that Microsoft is building a unified ecosystem for Xbox and PC, and Project Helix will be its foundation.
