Xbox games continue to sell well on PS5. For example, Forza Horizon 5, according to analysts, sold over 5 million copies on Sony's console. This proved that releasing games on third-party platforms brings Microsoft significant revenue.

Because of this, a complete return to the old model with exclusives only for Xbox and PC seems unlikely. However, the situation may change.

In an internal message, Asha Sharma stated that the company will "re-evaluate its approach to exclusivity." No concrete decisions have been made yet, but Microsoft clearly does not want to stick to one rigid scheme.

Journalist Tom Warren from The Verge reported that various options are currently being discussed. Microsoft is trying to find a balance between selling games on PS5 and the desire to strengthen the Xbox ecosystem.

The most likely scenario is a mixed approach: some series will continue to be released on PlayStation, while certain franchises like Halo and Gears of War may once again become important Xbox exclusives.
