The creators of Age of Empires IV released the premium expansion Yue Fei's Legacy in May, adding a new civilization to the strategy game.
Players can access the Jin Dynasty not only in the new campaign but also in the "Skirmish" mode and online multiplayer:
Discover the legacy of the Song Dynasty and their troops under the command of Yue Fei: engage in a deadly battle against the nefarious invaders – the warriors of the Jin Dynasty. The North has fallen, the imperial Song court captured. Yue Fei and his comrade, General Han Shizhong, help the young prince of the Song Dynasty escape from the Jurchens and raise a powerful popular uprising for the benefit of the dynasty against what seems to be an invincible enemy.
New unique troops have appeared: mounted grenadier, "iron pagoda" heavy cavalry units, and detonators – melee units that fight with gunpowder hand cannons with a large and powerful spread.
In addition, "Jin Dynasty Mastery" challenges, four new maps, and a couple of new biomes have been added:
Fight for your freedom on four new maps and in two new biomes. Vast grasslands, flourishing river valleys, endless icy deserts – think before you build structures, raid, and engage in battles in one area or another.
The developers of Age of Empires IV also introduced an update with various bug fixes and AI improvements. The full description of the update is available at the following link.
