Ubisoft recently unveiled the development roadmap for Skull and Bones. The game will receive its 3rd year of support.

The first season is scheduled to start on May 12. It's called Shattered Seas, and with it, The Galleon, the first large DPS ship equipped with 40 gunports, will be added to the game.

In addition, the developers will introduce:

  • Two new World Tiers: World Tier 3: Rogue Storms and World Tier 3: Brutal Tempes — there will be enemies with seasonal features
  • New seasonal mastery tree and perks
  • Progression system expansion and a new event
  • Steam Deck support and optimization improvements

Some other plans for Skull and Bones developers:

  • New ships, including the Junk and Fluyt, which will add new playstyles.
  • New system: Trials — challenges focused on skill, adaptation, and competition through leaderboards.
  • Additional challenges and new elite bosses for players who want difficult endgame content.
  • New power progression mechanics, including Mod Transfer and Equipment Sets, which should provide more opportunities for build development.

This weekend, the peak online player count for Skull and Bones on PC via Steam was around 239 players, but the game is also available on consoles.

The teaser is available at the following link.
