Capcom has been actively experimenting with VR since Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Later, Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 received virtual reality support. Now, insider A Given Soul claims that a similar mode is being prepared for the new installment of the series.
According to the leak, the VR mode will be part of Resident Evil Requiem Gold Edition. The source claims that only owners of this edition will allegedly get access to the feature.
According to the leak, the Gold Edition may include: all story add-ons, an exclusive VR mode for modern VR devices, classic costumes for Leon and Chris from previous games in the series.
It is assumed that the announcement of the Gold Edition for Resident Evil 9 will take place at the end of 2026.
