Half-Life fans continue to experiment with Valve's shooter. Recently, developer ThePriceFielder offered a fresh take on the classic story.
He decided to replace Gordon Freeman with the heroine of Life is Strange. The developer clarified on the mod page that this is not a "reskin":
Half-Life is Strange allows you to play Half-Life as the queen of space and time herself and use her ability to rewind time.
Max Caulfield will retain her ability in the new world and will be able to rewind time in Black Mesa. For example, this could be useful for saving a scientist.
The shooting component of the game will not disappear — the girl will still be able to use firearms to deal with enemies.

The modification is under development, and ThePriceFielder has not yet specified approximate release dates. The developer publishes project materials on the ModDB website.
Earlier, the creators of the horror modification Half-Rats: Parasomnia announced that they would soon remove it from the Steam store. This horror project has been "in development" for many years, and a large-scale update will apparently not be completed.
