Recently, developer Bennett Foddy, who created projects such as QWOP, Getting Over It, and the recent Baby Steps, gave an interview and spoke about his experience playing Baldur's Gate 3. He really enjoyed Larian Studios' massive RPG, but encountered a problem with the third act.
Bennett admitted that he was never able to complete Baldur's Gate 3, but he's not ready to simply delete the game either:
I'm not particularly sentimental about such things, but if you look at the list of installed Steam games, there's one that I should have deleted by now, but I haven't. That's Baldur's Gate 3.
The developer emphasized that he likes Baldur's Gate 3, but the third act turned out to be "too big" for him:
I really liked it, but here's what happened to me. I had a lot of fun with the first and second acts. And then, in the third act, I just got intimidated — it was too big, and I stopped. This happened quite a while ago, but at the same time, I don't feel like I can "finish" it, you know? I have all these characters, progress left there, and I'm uncomfortable just leaving everything as it is, so it will probably remain installed on my computer.
Larian Studios is currently working on its next RPG — a new installment of Divinity. It doesn't have a release date yet.
