The developers of Path of Exile 2 continue to demonstrate new features from the upcoming "Return of the Ancients" update. A new Huntress Ascendancy class, the Spiritwalker, will be added to the game:
Bound to the wilderness, this class calls upon spirits that answer her will, granting various abilities of the Deer, Owl, or Bear. Under their patronage, the Spiritwalker can subdue even the most vicious beasts by binding their spirit, or summon a spectral companion to fight alongside her.
The developers published an overview trailer for the "Spiritwalker" and demonstrated its mechanics. The class will be able to use not only animal spirits – the passive skill "Natural Order" gives "Beast Taming" the ability to tame bosses.
According to the developers, this works with all shown enemies:
The creators of PoE 2 have already come up with several builds and told players about them. For example, they assembled the "Stormbringer": they describe the build as a "typically looking Whirlwind build, cranked up to the max." The developers suggest using "Whirling Blades" and "Barrage" to unleash death and eradicate enemies.
The release of the Path of Exile 2 "Return of the Ancients" update is scheduled for May 29.
