The studio gained fame with Until Dawn, and since 2019, it has been actively developing The Dark Pictures Anthology series. The latest installment of the anthology is Directive 8020, where players found a short teaser for the next game.

The developers remain true to their tradition — in previous parts of the anthology, the studio also hid hints about future projects. Now it's The Craven Man's turn.

Judging by Supermassive Games' pace of work, the horror game could be released in 2027 or 2028. The studio usually releases new projects with an interval of up to two years, and sometimes horror games were released almost annually.

The Craven Man will be the eighth installment of The Dark Pictures Anthology and the fourth game of the second season of the series. According to the source, the horror is inspired by stories of cults and pagan rituals. Among the inspirations mentioned are the films "The Wicker Man" and "Midsommar."
