Developers of the pirate simulator Ahoy showed a realistic naval system
The Ahoy project, first mentioned in 2025, continues to develop the idea of a realistic game about pirates and 17th-century seafaring.
In Ahoy, the developers are not betting on an arcade style, but on a serious simulator, where players will be offered a realistic look at the golden age of piracy.
Players will explore the Caribbean, manage their own crew, and participate in naval battles. The game will feature a large open world with ports, trade, convoy protection, and attacks.
The developers are also preparing a multiplayer mode for 16 people, so part of the gameplay will be related to competition between players. However, details of the story component are still unknown.
The authors showed an early demonstration of sailing on a small ship. Some textures are not yet ready, but the video demonstrates the level of realism the team is striving for.
