The release of Grand Theft Auto VI is expected in November 2026, and pre-orders have not yet opened. Discussions continue online about the potential cost of the game — there is an opinion that Take-Two / Rockstar Games will take the concept of "base cost" to a new level (beyond $60-70).
FirstLook conducted a survey of gamers from the USA and the UK. Researchers found out how much players would be willing to pay for GTA VI at launch. As a result, an "average expectation" was established — users are already prepared for the price to exceed the "standard" $70.
Almost half (40%) of the 2,000 respondents agreed that a fair price for Grand Theft Auto VI is $100. However, for 59% of respondents, this amount is "too much." The remaining 1% or 20 respondents believe that $100 is "too cheap." Overall, according to the survey, the average expected price for GTA VI was $78.
Recently, signals have emerged that Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders may begin in the coming days. Players still have time to build theories about Take-Two / Rockstar Games' pricing policy.
