Peter Molyneux's "god simulator" Masters of Albion receives performance-enhancing update
Peter Molyneux and 22Cans studio have released update 1.2 for Masters of Albion. The patch is intended to address the main problem for players - significant performance drops in large cities.
After the release, players complained about slowdowns when there were many residents and events on the screen. In version 1.2, the developers reworked several key systems.
The authors reported that they updated the resident management system, which reduced the CPU load in large settlements. They also improved the performance of night battles with monsters and reduced the loading time for saves and switching between strategic mode and direct hero control.
Along with optimization, the patch brought other changes requested by the community. The studio improved the trading interface, fixed bugs with artisans getting stuck at workshops, and rebalanced the cost of some advanced buildings.
Peter Molyneux stated that this is just the beginning of the game's support. The team is currently collecting player feedback and is already preparing new content for future updates.
Masters of Albion is available on PC. According to the developers, after the release of version 1.2, even owners of weaker systems will be able to play comfortably.
