Authors of Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era Strengthened Enemies on "Unfair" Difficulty Level
The developers of the new "Heroes" continue to fine-tune the game's balance.
Unfrozen studio recently released an update for Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, which not only fixes some bugs in the campaign and multiplayer but also offers players a new difficulty level.
For skirmish maps, an "Increased" difficulty is available, designed to make the transition for players to more serious challenges as comfortable as possible:
A new AI player difficulty level has been added to random maps, between normal and high. The full list of difficulties in ascending order: low, normal, increased, high, unfair, as well as network difficulty, which stands separately outside this gradation.
The developers also noted that the AI player's behavior on high and unfair difficulties was slightly adjusted: "according to the original idea, these difficulty levels should challenge players, so within this update, the enemy's strength on these difficulties has been increased."
In addition, the creators of Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era said that they continue to balance the low and normal campaign difficulties. As part of the recent update, changes were made to the missions "Eternal Conflict," "Flaming Hearts," "Deal with a Vampire," and "Alvar Diruil." Players are advised to restart these missions for the changes to be fully applied.
