In April, Steam hosted a themed sale "Medieval Fest" for PC, in which Warhorse Studios, the creators of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, also participated.
The developers invited gamers to support the restoration of Pirkštejn Castle – gamers might know it as "their home" in the first KCD game. At that time, the developers said they would donate one dollar for each copy of the base version of the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance sold.
The studio recently summarized the results – it turned out that the community managed to raise $65,324, meaning more than 65 thousand copies of Kingdom Come: Deliverance were sold:
During the Medieval Fest on Steam, we promised to donate $1 for every copy of KCD sold. Thanks to you, our incredible community, we have donated over $65,000 to the preservation of Pirkštejn Castle. You made this possible. From the entire Warhorse team and Pirkštejn – thank you!
Currently, Warhorse Studios is working on a new project, which, according to rumors, may be related to the "Lord of the Rings" franchise. However, there has been no official confirmation yet.
