The developers of Hunt: Showdown 1896 have introduced a major update that brings back two event locations into rotation. Players are invited to return to the "Hive of the Bile Weavers," which will be available until May 27. From May 27 to June 9, players will be able to visit the "Circus."
Hunt: Showdown 1896 also added a new type of story challenge (Legacy Chronicle). The first chronicle will be "Danger in the Dark." The developers describe this as "re-skinned versions of mythical hunters and gear skins from the 'Light the Shadow' event."
Players will be able to add iconic hunters to their roster and find out what brought them back. Crytek has prepared new cosmetic content "continuing the story and providing even more opportunities for self-expression."
The creators of Hunt: Showdown 1896 explained that Legacy Chronicles work a little differently than the "story challenges" players are used to:
For completing chronicles, you will receive "secret marks" — a new currency that can be freely spent on any rewards from open reward pages. To unlock new reward pages in Legacy Chronicles, you will need to spend secret marks.
The developers have "big plans" to bring back old content using this system.
