The Legends mode quickly became an important part of the series, first in Ghost of Tsushima, and then in Ghost of Yotei, the cooperative format kept players in the game world even after completing the main story. Therefore, every major update, including the April raid, was perceived as a significant event.
However, in a new post on the PlayStation Blog, the developers explicitly stated that the raid update was “the last major planned update” for Legends and concludes the story of the Yotei Six in this mode. The material also presents the raid as the final endgame challenge, where players fight Lord Saito and the Dragon.
For some players, this may be a disappointment. The wording “planned” leaves a small possibility for future changes, but it does not currently seem that Sucker Punch is preparing new major additions for the mode. This is especially noticeable against the backdrop of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, which received support longer after its release.
In fact, the raid became the final point for the Legends story in Ghost of Yotei and likely concluded the main cycle of multiplayer support.
