Publisher Mantic Games and PopCap Games have announced Plants vs. Zombies: The Board Game — a tabletop adaptation of the famous video game Plants vs. Zombies.
This is a cooperative project for 1–4 players, in which participants will have to work together to outsmart funny and terrifying zombie hordes by planting lines of plants.
Using iconic Plants vs. Zombies characters such as Peashooters, Cherry Bombs, and Wall-nuts, players will have to carefully plan their home defense and fend off the undead.
Participants will be able to complete the "Zen Garden" campaign, where the difficulty adjusts to the group's skills (most likely referring to the number of players), and also overcome many challenges.
Plants vs. Zombies: The Board Game already has a page on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. Pre-orders for the board game are likely to open in autumn 2026.
