Ahmad reported that the new console reached 3 million sales in markets outside America, Japan, and Europe in 10 months. The first Switch took 22 months to achieve this.
According to the analyst, the success is due to several factors. Nintendo was better prepared for the console's launch, avoided supply shortages, and brought the device to new markets in Asia and the Middle East faster. Import to China also played an additional role.
I haven't seen anyone pay attention to this. It took the Nintendo Switch 22 months to sell 3 million consoles outside of America, Japan, and Europe. The Nintendo Switch 2 reached these same 3 million in just 10 months in other markets.
Currently, "other markets" account for 15.4% of all Switch 2 sales. For the first Switch, this figure was only 9.9%.
Nintendo previously stated that it would seriously prepare for the launch of the new console, and judging by the sales pace, the company managed to fulfill its plan.
