PC continues to dominate: Capcom sells more games there than on consoles
For the third consecutive year, Capcom sells more games on PC than on consoles. In fiscal year 2025, the company sold 32.17 million copies of games on computers, with digital sales reaching 93% of the total volume.
Capcom has been increasing its profits for the ninth consecutive year. One of the reasons for its success is an aggressive discount strategy — the company regularly reduces prices for its games to $5–10, which helps attract new users and maintain high sales levels. In total, the publisher sold almost 60 million copies of games in fiscal year 2025.
As noted in the report, PC has become a crucial part of Capcom's strategy. The company has successfully leveraged the popularity of digital stores and the growing PC market. This is why PC has remained the main sales platform for the publisher for 3 consecutive years, surpassing consoles.
The shift in audience to digital purchases played a special role. Currently, 93% of all Capcom sales come from digital format.
