In May, Terraria developers celebrated the project's 15th anniversary. Re-Logic studio thanked the community for their support and shared the game's sales figures:

Fifteen years?! That's a really long time! That's 131,400 hours – and quite a few of you have chosen to spend them playing our game. To say that reaching this milestone is both insane and heartwarming is a massive understatement. It's very difficult to find the words to express what your support has meant to our small studio all these years. Simply put, you are the engine that makes all of this work. Your support allows us to keep going, to develop Terraria without resorting to price increases or microtransactions. In today's gaming industry, this is becoming increasingly rare, and we cannot fully express our gratitude to you for making what we do every day possible.

Terraria's cumulative sales have reached 70 million. PC accounts for 39.6 million, consoles for 10.7 million, and mobile for 19.7 million. The developers also noted that the tModLoader utility has been downloaded 12.3 million times on Steam.

Over the past year, the average daily number of Terraria players is 461 thousand (peak – 1.4 million). For tModLoader – 237 thousand (peak 441 thousand).

The average number of hours played in Terraria on PC is 101 hours 18 minutes. In tModLoader – 89 hours 52 minutes.

The creators of Terraria continue to work on cross-play and subsequent updates for the game. They also have "other plans and ideas" that they will share later.
