Blizzard Entertainment recently released a major update, fixing bugs in the main Diablo IV game and the Lord of Hatred expansion. Items that previously had to be disabled due to identified problems were also returned to the game.
In 3.0.2, developers fixed a bug for the Paladin with the Resolve effect:
Fixed an issue where the Anvil of Glynn aspect did not properly reduce damage taken per stack of Resolve.
YouTube channel author MacroBioBoi drew the community's attention to the fact that a character's survivability can be significantly increased. One stack of "Resolve" reduces incoming damage by several percent, and thanks to the bug, players were able to bring the total number of stacks to 44.
In combination with the fixed Anvil of Glynn, a player can achieve a 176% damage reduction. Thus, the character becomes almost immortal – they can withstand strong blows.
For example, if a character takes about 30 thousand damage without stacks, with stacks the damage drops to ~4800 (due to the peculiarities of the formulas, a high percentage of damage reduction does not nullify it, but still significantly reduces it).
Players assume that this was not intended and expect Diablo IV developers to make additional corrections to the "Resolve" mechanic in the foreseeable future.
