A new Infamous project is in development

Fans have long been asking Sony to bring back the franchise.

In May, gamers once again remembered the Infamous franchise. The reason was a statement by a VGC journalist.

During a podcast, Jordan Middler said:

I'm interested to see what Sucker Punch does next. Especially with the movie in mind – I assume they'll make another Ghost of franchise game, but there's also a noticeable demand from people for Infamous right now. I have a feeling that something related to Infamous is happening somewhere at PlayStation right now, but not [at Sucker Punch studio].

In one of the episodes of another podcast, Kinda Funny Games, he clarified that he had heard about the development of an Infamous remake. He could not yet confirm this information with two sources, so he did not publish it in VGC:

However, you know, there are all sorts of rumors, and I think my rumors are quite reliable [...] when I was told about it, I assumed the source meant a remake of the first and second parts. I wasn't told this directly, but it was very clearly implied. But yes, obviously, Sony can just cancel this project. Perhaps it was launched, but never developed.

The latest projects in the franchise – Infamous Second Son and Infamous First Light – were released in 2014.
