Recently, owners of the premium edition of Forza Horizon 6 gained early access to the game. It features official Russian localization, but only in text translation format.
Some players also wanted voice acting. Shimon Mood presented a solution – a full localization created with the help of artificial intelligence. However, he warned players: "Install at your own risk."
Some who played Forza Horizon 6 with the Russian AI voiceover note technical issues. For example, Lidia Weidung shared that the voiceover might not match the subtitles:
The further I progress in the game, the more I realize that the voiceover is not as good as it seemed at first. Voiced phrases often do not match the subtitles. The number of unvoiced phrases is also considerable. The navigator babbles some nonsense instead of giving directions. It seems that the voiceover was done by a neural network without your direct involvement. In its current form, the voiceover feels like a project created solely for hype on the occasion of the game's release.
Shimon Mood said that he couldn't test the game himself because it crashes for him, and he also responded to the criticism:
It's about the engine itself, the audio has correct subs but they work differently, even at the beginning the characters said different audio, based on this I made a fix and to fix it further I need to understand where the lines go off. If there is a desire to improve, I will be glad for help. For this, I need to understand which specific sub and what is said in the audio.
